| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark blue and yellow-gold on white paper. The left third is occupied by a decorative Art Nouveau border of stylised foliage enclosing a blank oval reserve bearing an embossed official stamp, with the numeral '50' and 'Millionen' in bold letterpress above it. The right portion carries the issuer heading 'Kreis Monschau' with serial number at top, followed by the denomination 'Fünfzig Millionen Mark' in large Gothic script over a yellow-gold guilloche underprint, a two-line redemption text in smaller Gothic type, the place and date 'Monschau, den 15. September 1923', and a manuscript signature on behalf of 'Der Vorsitzende des Kreisausschusses'. |
