| Obverse description | Printed in brown on cream paper, the obverse is dominated by a large circular vignette on the left incorporating the numeral '5' in bold outline enclosing a seated allegorical figure, surrounded by the arc inscription 'STADT DÜSSELDORF'. The denomination '50.000.000 Millionen Mark' is rendered in bold letterpress across the centre and right of the note, set against an intricate swirling guilloche underprint. Authorization text appears in the upper right, with the issuing declaration, date 'DÜSSELDORF 15.
