| Obverse description | Typographically printed Notgeld (emergency money) voucher on a light blue-grey fine-hatched underprint within a double-rule rectangular border. The denomination 'Fünfzig Milliarden Mark' is set in large Gothic (Fraktur) blackletter type at centre, surmounted by the heading 'Gutschein über' in smaller Fraktur. Below the denomination, a four-line liability and validity text in Fraktur refers to the Stadtgemeinde Frankenstein and the Reichsbank acceptance clause, followed by the issuance place and date 'Frankenstein i.
