| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in shades of brown on a cream ground, with an intricate guilloche underprint covering the entire field. The left portion bears the bearer cheque text with the denomination spelled out as FIFTY BILLION DOLLARS, the issue date of 15th May 2008, an expiry clause, and the circular Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe seal with portrait vignette at centre-left, accompanied by the Governor's facsimile signature. A large numeral '50' with the word BILLION occupies the centre-right, while a small vignette of two giraffes appears at lower right; the denomination in numerals and the issuer's name run vertically along the right margin. |
