Obverse description The aluminium bronze centre features the Polish state eagle displayed, rendered in high relief with spread wings, a crown, and detailed feathering, set against a plain field. Below the eagle appears the date 2016, with the mint mark 'mw' incorporated within the design. The surrounding copper-nickel ring carries the circular legend 'RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA' along the upper arc and '5 ZŁOTYCH' along the lower arc, separated by raised dots, all in upright Latin capitals.
