Obverse description Central device features the Polish state eagle displayed, crowned, with wings spread and talons extended, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The eagle's breast is scaled and the feathering of the wings is rendered in fine detail characteristic of the interwar Polish numismatic style. The circular legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA arcs around the upper periphery, while the denomination 5 ZŁOTYCH is inscribed along the lower arc. The entire design is bordered by a continuous inner ring of beading.
