Obverse description The obverse features the Polish state eagle — the crowned white eagle with wings displayed, talons extended, and head turned to the right — rendered in a stylised socialist-era design without the crown, occupying the central field. The circular legend reads 'POLSKA RZECZPOSPOLITA LUDOWA' (Polish People's Republic) along the upper periphery, with the mint mark 'MW' flanking the date at the base. The date of issue appears at the bottom of the field between two raised dots, and the design is engraved in low relief against a flat, unadorned field.
