| Obverse description | Round cast bronze coin with a central square hole surrounded by a raised inner rim. Two Chinese seal-script ideograms are positioned to the left and right of the central square hole, read from right to left as 'Wu Zhu' (五銖), denoting the denomination of five zhu. The characters are rendered in relief against a flat field, with a raised outer rim encircling the coin. The surface exhibits characteristic casting texture typical of Southern Dynasties period coinage. |
