Reverse description A robed court musician is depicted in the lower left field, striking a set of ancient Chinese bianzhong (編鐘) tuned bells suspended on an ornate two-tiered lacquered rack. Three elegantly dressed female dancers are shown in relief above the bell rack at the upper rim, rendered in flowing garments. The inscription 編鐘 (tuned bells) appears to the upper left, with the date reference 公元前700年 (700 BC) inscribed centrally. The denomination 5元 is shown at the left field.
