Obverse description Central field features a detailed relief depiction of the burial mound of the First Emperor of Qin (Qin Shi Huang), rendered as a large stepped earthen tumulus with a crenellated watch-tower at its summit, flanked by auxiliary structures and rugged terrain. The legend 中华人民共和国 (People's Republic of China) arcs across the upper field in Chinese characters. The date 1993 appears in the lower field. The mirror-like proof field provides a strong contrast to the frosted relief elements.
