Reverse description The central device depicts a finely detailed reproduction of the ancient Chinese bronze ox-shaped lamp (牛灯), a celebrated Eastern Han dynasty archaeological artifact, shown in three-quarter view facing left. The ox's body is adorned with intricate swirling scroll patterns, and its tail curves upward to support a cylindrical lantern with a latticed shade and domed top. To the left in the field, a small vignette in lower relief shows a farmer plowing with an ox beneath stylized trees. The denomination '5元' is inscribed in the lower left field, and Chinese characters identifying the artifact and the cyclical year Guiyou (癸酉) appear along the left and right margins.
