Obverse description Olive-green on ochre underprint. A central vignette enclosed within an ornate arch cartouche bears the denomination 伍圓 (5 Yuan) in Chinese characters, set against a rural landscape vignette of farmsteads and hills extending across the full width of the note. Serial number appears twice in the upper field, with Chinese inscriptions identifying the bank and the Republic of China date of issue disposed in the lower portion of the central cartouche.

Reverse description Printed in purple. The central vignette presents a traditional Chinese bridge and gazebo complex rendered in fine line engraving, framed by dense guilloche lacework filling the side panels and corners. The numeral 5 appears in large format at both left and right margins, with the romanized bank name SI BEI NUNG MIN IN XANG inscribed along the upper border and two manuscript signatures below the central design.
