| Obverse description | The national emblem of the People's Republic of China occupies the central field, depicting Tiananmen Gate surmounted by five stars — one large star flanked by four smaller stars in a semicircular arrangement — all enclosed within a wreath of grain ears bound at the base by a cogwheel.
