| Obverse description | Facing left bust effigy of Ahmad Shah Qajar in military uniform, wearing the traditional Qajar karakul crown adorned with a jewelled aigrette and plumes. The shah's epauleted tunic with decorative buttons and an order badge at the chest are rendered in fine relief. The portrait is surrounded by a beaded border, and the piece features a suspension loop at the top. |
