Obverse description Central field displays the crowned interlaced monogram 'CL' of Duke Christian Ludwig of Brunswick-Lüneburg-Celle, enclosed within a wreath of laurel branches. Surrounding the wreath is an elaborate arrangement of twelve heraldic shields representing the various territories and dignities of the ducal house. The peripheral legend SINCERE ET CONSTANTER runs along the upper border, with the date and denomination noted in the lower field. The overall design is rendered in high relief with fine Baroque craftsmanship typical of large German Löser coinage.
