A beaded inner circle frames the central device, with a Latin legend distributed around the periphery between two beaded circles. The design is characteristic of hammered emergency coinage, exhibiting irregular strike and planchet shape typical of the period. |

A Latin legend incorporating the date 1641 runs around the periphery between two beaded circles, the whole executed in the crude but characterful manner typical of Catalan municipal siege or emergency issues. |
