Obverse description Central field dominated by the arms of Aragon, depicted as four vertical pale bars on a plain shield, rendered in the bold, unrefined style characteristic of emergency hammered coinage. The shield occupies the majority of the flan, with the surrounding field showing the rough, striated texture typical of hastily prepared blanks. Partial remnants of the circumferential Latin legend are visible at the periphery, though much is lost to the irregular flan shape. The overall design reflects the exigent circumstances of wartime minting during the Catalan Revolt of 1640–1652.
