Obverse description The national coat of arms of the Kyrgyz Republic is depicted at the top center of the field, surrounded by the Cyrillic legends КЫРГЫЗ and РЕСПУБЛИКАСЫ. Flanking the central inscription are relief depictions of traditional Kyrgyz musical instruments: a komuz and a kyl-kyiak on the upper left and right respectively, with smaller instruments including crossed stringed instruments, a goblet drum, and a plucked lute arranged across the lower field. The three-line Cyrillic legend УЛУТТУК МУЗЫКАЛЫК АСПАПТАР (National Musical Instruments) occupies the center of the field in stylized script. The date 2012 appears in the lower exergue.
