Obverse descriptionParty which was organized, on July 14, 1790, on the occasion of the first anniversary of the storming of the Bastille. The ceremony took place at the Campo di Marte where, in a large amphitheater capable of hosting 400,000 people, was pronounced, by general La Fayette, by Louis XVI and by Talleyrand, bishop of Autun, the solemn oath of fidelity: `We swear to always be faithful to the nation, to the law and the king, to uphold the constitution as far as it is in our power decreed by the National Assembly and accepted by the king `.
