Reverse description The crowned quartered shield of Savoy, displaying the characteristic cross of Savoy, is centered in the field. The motto FE RT appears divided across the field to either side of the shield, a traditional Savoyard device of ancient origin. The circular Latin legend surrounding the design references the ruler's titles as Prince of Piedmont and King of Cyprus, with a beaded border encircling the entire composition.
