| Reverse description | Central field displays the Shi'ite Kalima arranged in three horizontal registers within a truncated oval border of beaded pellets. The uppermost register bears the first shahada, the middle register the name of the Prophet Muhammad as God's messenger, and the lower register the declaration of Ali as the friend of God (Wali Allah). The bold Nasta'liq script is deeply struck and stands in high relief against the flat field. The irregular hammered flan results in partial truncation of the beaded border along the edges. |
