Obverse description The Royal Bhutanese national emblem occupies the central field, depicted as a highly detailed circular device featuring two facing dragons flanking a central vajra (thunderbolt) and a lotus flower at the base, all set within a beaded inner circle against a mirrored proof field. The circumferential legend reads 'KINGDOM OF BHUTAN' along the upper arc in Latin characters, while a Dzongkha legend appears along the lower arc. The date '1993' appears twice in the field, divided symmetrically to the left and right of the central emblem.
