Obverse description The Philippine national coat of arms is displayed centrally in the field, featuring the quartered shield with the traditional emblems including the sun and stars, flanked by an eagle and a lion as supporters, with a scroll bearing the legend REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS below. The circular legend REPUBLIKA NG PILIPINAS arcs around the upper periphery, with the date 1967 displayed prominently in the lower exergue. Three five-pointed stars appear above the shield. The design is struck in a somewhat crude, flat relief consistent with a lead pattern piece.
