| Obverse description | Central design features a stylized depiction of Mount Fuji rising above a horizontal band of parallel lines representing water or clouds, rendered in fine relief. The Imperial Chrysanthemum Seal, a sixteen-petalled flower, is positioned prominently above the mountain in the upper field. The denomination is inscribed in large kanji characters in the lower field, reading 五錢 (five sen), flanked by a fine beaded border encircling the entire design. |
