| Obverse description | Green on white letterpress note centred on a vignette of a traditional Javanese split gateway (candi bentar/gapura) set within a semicircular arch, flanked by foliate ornaments and large numeral '5' at each lateral margin; the curved legend 'UANG KERTAS DARURAT UNTUK DAERAH BANTEN' arcs above the central vignette, with 'LIMA RUPIAH' running vertically along both side borders.
