Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, occupies the central field, depicted with three lions visible atop an abacus bearing the Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and a horse in relief. Beneath the capital appears the national motto in Devanagari script. The denomination numeral '5' is prominently rendered in the lower field. The legend 'भारत' in Devanagari arcs along the left rim and 'INDIA' in Latin script along the right, with '5 RUPEES' completing the inscription at the lower right.
