| Obverse description | Central device features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, depicted with three lions visible atop an abacus bearing a Dharma Chakra flanked by a bull and a horse in relief. The state motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Satyameva Jayate, meaning 'Truth Alone Triumphs') appears in Devanagari script immediately below the emblem, with the large numeral '5' in the lower field. The legend 'भारत' in Devanagari curves along the left periphery and 'INDIA' in Latin script along the right, with '5 RUPEES' completing the denomination inscription. A decorative beaded border encircles the entire design. |
