Obverse description The Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, depicted centrally with three lions visible atop an abacus adorned with a Dharma Chakra (wheel) flanked by a bull and a horse in relief. The state motto 'Satyameva Jayate' (Truth Alone Triumphs) is inscribed in Devanagari script immediately below the capital. The denomination '5' appears prominently in the lower field, with 'RUPEES' arcing along the right legend and 'भारत INDIA' and '5 रूपये' arranged along the left and peripheral legend, all within a beaded border.
