| Obverse description | Central field occupied by the traditional Nepalese royal cipher of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, rendered as a decorative panelled cartouche subdivided into compartments containing the king's name and titles in Devanagari script. The royal name reads श्री श्री श्री ५ बीरेन्द्र वीर विक्रम शाह देव, arranged across the registers of the cartouche. The Bikram Sambat date २०४७ (VS 2047) appears at the base of the cartouche. The entire design is surrounded by a continuous beaded border. |
