The Devanagari legend 'भारत' appears to the left and the Latin legend 'INDIA' to the right, both running along the inner rim. The national motto 'सत्यमेव जयते' (Truth Alone Triumphs), rendered in Devanagari script, is inscribed along the lower field beneath the capital.
