Obverse description The obverse is set against a multicolour guilloche underprint in green, pink, and blue tones. At centre, a large numeral "5" sits within an ornate rosette vignette, flanked by decorative floral medallions, with the Lion Capital of Ashoka emblem to the right rendered in intaglio. The denomination is also expressed in fifteen Indian regional language scripts arranged in two vertical panels at right, while the issuer's name appears in Hindi and English across the upper portion alongside the watermark window at left.
