Reverse description The reverse is dominated by a central vignette of the lion throne of King Nissankamalla, the ornate stone throne from the audience hall at Polonnaruwa, rendered in red-brown intaglio against a green guilloche underprint. The bank name in Sinhala, Tamil, and English is distributed around the design, with the denomination in all three scripts flanking the central motif. A dense decorative border of repeating geometric and foliate patterns frames the entire composition.
