Obverse description Central device features the double-headed eagle emblem of the Bank of Russia displayed with wings spread, each head facing outward, set against a plain field. The eagle holds a sceptre in its right talon and an orb in its left, with tail feathers depicted in a fan arrangement. The curved legend БАНК РОССИИ arcs above the eagle along the upper rim. Below the eagle, the denomination ПЯТЬ РУБЛЕЙ is inscribed in a straight horizontal legend, followed by the four-digit date beneath. The mint mark appears to the lower right of the eagle's tail.
