Reverse description The central design features a cruciform arrangement of four oval shields, each bearing a distinct armorial device of the Russian Empire: the crowned double-headed eagle at centre, flanked by the arms of Moscow (top), Kazan (right), Siberia (bottom), and a further regional shield (left), all interlaced and surmounted by imperial crowns. The date 1762 is split across the horizontal axis of the cross, with the digits flanking the central shield. The encircling Cyrillic legend reads IМПРСКАЯ РОССIИС МОН·ЦЕНА ПЯТЬ·РƔБ, denoting this as an Imperial Russian coin of the value of five Roubles. The overall composition reflects the elaborate heraldic style characteristic of mid-18th-century Russian imperial gold coinage.
