| Obverse description | The obverse features the State Emblem of the Russian Federation — a double-headed eagle displayed, each head surmounted by a crown and the whole topped by a larger imperial crown, with an orb in the right talon and a sceptre in the left. A shield on the breast of the eagle depicts St. George on horseback slaying the dragon. The Moscow Mint monogram (ММД) appears in the lower field beneath the eagle. The curved legend РОССИЙСКАЯ ФЕДЕРАЦИЯ arcs along the upper periphery, while the inscription БАНК РОССИИ and the date of issue are inscribed in two lines along the lower field. |
