| Obverse description | Blue-grey note with the bank title 'BOHUS-LÄNS ENSKILDA BANK' in ornate Gothic lettering across the top, beneath which the obligation text 'inlöser vid anfordran denna sedel med' is printed in letterpress. At left, an intaglio vignette of a standing female allegorical figure accompanied by a ship and anchor, flanked by the denomination numeral '5'; at right, a circular guilloche medallion encloses a large '5'. The place and date 'Uddevalla 1869' appear centrally, with two manuscript signatures below and the series and serial designation 'Litt.
