Obverse description Central field bears the Imperial Pahlavi crown at top, beneath which appears the royal inscription in Persian nastaliq script reading 'Reza Shah Pahlavi, Shahanshah of Iran.' The numeral '5' in Eastern Arabic script occupies the center of the field, flanked by a wreath composed of olive and oak branches tied with a ribbon at the base. The Solar Hijri date in Eastern Arabic numerals appears within the wreath at the lower portion of the coin, with a beaded border encircling the entire design.
