Obverse description Intaglio portrait of Sultan Qaboos bin Sa'id in traditional dress at right, with Arabic inscriptions of the bank name and denomination at centre-left. The note is printed in shades of red and violet with ornate guilloche underprint and the national emblem of Oman at upper centre. Reverse description A detailed vignette of Nizwa Fort occupies the left-centre of the reverse, rendered in intaglio in tones of red and violet against a fine guilloche background. The circular tower and surrounding traditional architecture of the fort are illustrated with considerable detail.
