Obverse description Central field occupied by the Ottoman Sultan's name and title in bold Arabic calligraphy, reading 'Sultan Abdulmecid Khan', arranged in three lines within an elaborate radiating palm-frond wreath that fills the entire coin surface. The wreath fronds sweep outward symmetrically from a tied base at the bottom, creating a decorative frame of high relief. A small ornamental device, possibly a crescent or star, appears at the apex of the wreath above the inscription. The milled border of fine reeding encircles the entire design.

Reverse description Central field bearing a three-line Arabic inscription recording the mint name and Hijri year, enclosed within a finely rendered olive or laurel wreath tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The uppermost line reads 'ضرب في' (struck in), the middle line 'تونس' (Tunis), and the lower line bears the Hijri date, here shown as '١٢٦٧' (1267 AH). The wreath is composed of detailed leafy branches, and the overall design is contained within a milled border of regular reeding.
