Reverse description Central field bearing a two-line Arabic inscription naming the mint city of Tunis, above the AH date in Arabic-Indic numerals. Below the inscription, the denomination numeral appears in large Arabic-Indic script. The whole is encircled by a wreath of olive branches adorned with berries, tied at the base with a ribbon bow, consistent with the decorative style of Ottoman Tunisian silver coinage of the mid-nineteenth century.
