Obverse description A large swastika dominates the central field, its arms radiating from the circular central perforation which it surrounds. The legend REICHSKREDITKASSEN curves along the upper periphery within a beaded border, with the mint mark and date 19[mint mark]40 positioned along the lower periphery flanking the hole. The design is rendered in a bold, angular Art Deco style characteristic of the Third Reich period.
