| Obverse description | At center, the heraldic eagle of Bremen displayed on a triangular shield set within an elaborate Gothic quatrefoil frame, all rendered in high relief. The shield bears the single-headed eagle with wings spread and head turned to the left, characteristic of the Bremen civic arms. A beaded border frames the entire design, with the circular legend divided above and below the central motif. The field within the quatrefoil is plain, allowing the boldly modeled shield and eagle to dominate the composition. |
