Obverse description Central field dominated by a boldly rendered Imperial German eagle displayed with wings spread wide, the head turned to the right, rendered in a stylized yet vigorous manner characteristic of Karl Goetz's medallic art. The eagle's plumage is elaborately detailed with layered feathers, and the lower body dissolves into an ornate foliate scroll design. The circumferential legend DEUTSCHES REICH is inscribed in large capital letters along the left and right rims, with the date 1925 placed in the exergual area at the base of the design between the eagle's talons.
