Obverse description Central field displays the coat of arms of the Republic of Venda, consisting of a shield bearing an elephant's head in profile, supported on either side by rampant elephants as supporters. Above the shield rests a traditional African drum as crest. A scroll beneath the shield bears the motto in the exergue. The legend 'RIPHABULIKI YA VENDA' curves along the upper periphery, while the date '2019' appears in the lower field below the arms.

Additional information

Venda has not existed as a political entity since 1994, when it was reincorporated into South Africa at the end of the apartheid-era homeland system. Any coin bearing its name issued in 2019 is a privately produced fantasy piece — not a government-authorized legal tender issue — almost certainly struck for the collector novelty market with no monetary authority behind it whatsoever.
