Additional information

Venda was a nominally independent Bantustan created by the apartheid government in 1979, recognized by no country other than South Africa itself. It was reintegrated into South Africa in 1994. Any coin bearing its name issued in 2018 is a fantasy piece with no historical issuing authority behind it — Venda has not existed as a political entity for three decades.
