| Obverse description | Central vignette consists of a large guilloche rosette bearing the numeral 5, flanked by two ornate rosette underprints on a pale green and orange tint. The pre-Columbian Vasija de Uaxactún — a carved tripod ceramic vessel — appears as an intaglio vignette at right, captioned accordingly. Bank title BANCO DE GUATEMALA and subtitle GUATEMALA, CENTRO AMERICA are inscribed at top, with CINCO QUETZALES in a banner at bottom and three manuscript signatures below the central design. |
