| Obverse description | Central field bears the elaborate tughra (royal cipher) of the Khalifa Abdullah ibn Muhammad, rendered in flowing Arabic calligraphy with decorative foliate flourishes above. The design is enclosed within a plain inner circle, itself surrounded by a decorative border of alternating oval pellet-and-leaf motifs linked by small circular knobs, interspersed with small five-pointed stars at the cardinal points. |
