Reverse description The reverse presents a detailed high-relief view of the Kiosk of Trajan at the Temple of Philae complex on Agilkia Island, depicted in three-quarter perspective. The ancient Roman-era structure is shown with its characteristic rows of elaborately carved composite columns supporting a partially preserved entablature, with the stone block foundation and surrounding water rendered in fine detail below. The architectural engraving captures the texture of the masonry coursework and the ornate floral capitals of the columns with considerable numismatic artistry. The field is otherwise plain, with no inscriptions or legends on the reverse, allowing the architectural motif to dominate the flan within the beaded border.
