Additional information

Guernsey has issued commemorative five-pound pieces with some regularity since the 1970s, and the market for them has always been thin. The 75th birthday series for Elizabeth II in 2001 was produced across multiple Commonwealth and Crown Dependency jurisdictions simultaneously, diluting collector interest across a raft of near-identical issues from Guernsey, Jersey, and Gibraltar alike.

KM#108 circulated only nominally — copper-nickel crown-sized pieces of this type rarely saw a shop till.
