Reverse description The reverse commemorates the centenary of the Egyptian Museum in Cairo, founded in 1902. The central motif depicts a detailed view of the Neoclassical facade of the Egyptian Museum building, rendered in fine relief. Superimposed over the building is a large stylised numeral '100', referencing the institution's centennial anniversary. The Arabic legend 'المتحف المصري' (The Egyptian Museum) is inscribed in calligraphic script in the lower central field, flanked by the Latin legend 'EGYPTIAN MUSEUM' along the lower border. The founding and centennial years '١٩٠٢ - ٢٠٠٢' are inscribed along the upper arc, with the entire design framed by a toothed inner border.
